Free MENASA Open Casting Call Online Showcase for Diversity and Inclusion in Hollywood Entertainment

Are you tired of the lack of representation in the entertainment industry? Do you want to showcase your talents and gain exposure to industry professionals without having to pay a dime? Look no further than the MENASA Diversity Showcase.

This initiative is unique and impactful, providing a platform specifically for actors of Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian descent.

Over the past three years, more than 225 talented performers have taken part in the showcase, with the opportunity to perform a one-minute monologue and gain exposure to industry supporters including casting professionals, agents, managers, writers, directors, and producers based in Los Angeles, New York City, Washington DC, Atlanta, and beyond. And the best part? It's completely free of charge.

But the showcase is more than just an opportunity for actors to perform. It is a crucial step towards addressing the significant disparity in the entertainment industry. Studies by our event partners, the MENA Arts Advocacy Coalition, have shown that only 1 percent of TV actors are of Middle Eastern or North African descent, and there were zero MENA actors cast as leading actors in films in the past year. The MENASA Diversity Showcase is designed to help address this issue by providing a platform for talented performers to gain exposure to industry professionals and potentially secure new opportunities.

And the showcase's impact doesn't stop there. It has been recognized for its outstanding contribution to the industry, being awarded "Best Special Event" at the 2021 BroadwayWorld Regional Awards and produced with the support of the Casting Society of America (CSA).

By signing up for the MENASA Diversity Showcase, you will not only have the opportunity to showcase your talents but also support diversity, equity, and inclusion within the entertainment industry. The showcase annually airs as a YouTube Premiere in April, which is recognized as Arab American Heritage Month. This timing is significant as it provides a special opportunity to highlight the rich cultural heritage and contributions of MENASA communities to the arts and entertainment industry.

Don't miss out on this valuable opportunity. Actors can register for the showcase starting in early April. To stay updated on the latest developments, sign up for email updates and learn more about our diversity programs. If you have any questions or if you are an industry professional interested in attending our annual online screening, please email walid@studioforperformingarts.com.

Together, let's work towards a more inclusive and diverse entertainment industry.
