Casting LA Actors 'Breaking Badly' and 'Meet the Roommates' Winter 2025 One-Act Comedy LA Diversity Showcase and Charity Fundraiser

Auditions are open for a variety of hilarious roles for adults ages 18 and up in two one-act comedy plays, “Breaking Badly” and “Meet the Roommates”, directed by Jon Taylor for Studio For Performing Arts LA.

This event will also double as a charity fundraiser, with profits to support the California Fire Foundation and our scholarship fund!

ABOUT THE SHOWS:

Breaking Badly - Ending a relationship is never easy -- unless, of course, you outsource the task. Desperate for a way out, Lily turns to The Breakup Center, where she can pick the perfect method from a selection of real breakups. But which approach will she choose? Reverse psychology? A team of lawyers? A tasteful emoji? Either way, somebody's about to get dumped.

Meet the Roommates - Two friends discover an incredible online simulator that shows them exactly what each of their future college roommate experiences will look like. Yet after a few minutes with a raging narcoleptic, a world-class procrastinator, and a children's party clown, it may be time to seriously consider living alone.

DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP PRODUCTION:

This production will include a break-out cast of Los Angeles actors. Industry VIPs will be invited to attend the special engagement with a special Creatives Mixer following the show. Participants will also be awarded Scholarships towards the studio’s upcoming programs led by Hollywood industry experts.
