Auditions are open for a variety of hilarious roles for adults ages 18 and up in the one-act comedy plays “Check Please: Take 2” and “Check Please: Take 3,” directed by Jon Taylor for Studio For Performing Arts LA.
Both plays, written by Jonathan Rand, follow Guy and Girl who jump back into the dating pool after a disappointing breakup, thanks to their meddling friends. As they endure a series of absurd blind dates—featuring a foot-reading psychic, a frustrated polygamist, and a wannabe rock star—they grapple with the question: is it better to face the worst dates ever or stay single forever? This comedic tale humorously explores friendship, love, and the unpredictable journey of finding connection.
This production will include a break-out cast of Los Angeles actors. Industry VIPs will be invited to attend the special engagement with a special Creatives Mixer following the show. Participants will also be awarded Scholarships towards the studio’s upcoming programs led by Hollywood industry experts.
