ABOUT THE EVENT

Do you have what it takes to be a TV SERIES REGULAR actor?


Success in Pilot Season can lead to long-term careers in television!


Participants in this special online class will study weekly on Zoom with Casting Director Ani Avetyan and then present to a VIP industry guest during the final class.


Ani is known for casting over 14 years of network TV & films. She also enjoys coaching actors and helping prepare them for success. For Ani's past credits, please visit her IMDb page.



5-WK SCHEDULE:

Meet's via Zoom on Tuesday's for 5-week starting March 14, 2023!


★ WEEK 1: INTRO TO AUDITIONING FOR TV PILOTS ★

Choose a monologue from a TV show pilot of your choice. Analyze the character and script, and prepare a monologue of a character you could play.


☆ Intros & overview of the TV pilot audition process, preparation and research

☆ Understanding the breakdown & script analysis

☆ Character development & course materials assigned


★ WEEK 2: IMPROV & COMEDIC SCENE STUDY ★

Prepare the comedic scene assigned by Ani which will be emailed to you in advance. Analyze the characters and their relationships, and be prepared to perform in class.


☆ Intro to improvisation in auditions

☆ Comedic timing & character exploration

☆ Developing a clear arc & story


★ WEEK 3 : COLD READS & DRAMATIC SCENE STUDY ★

Prepare the dramatic scene assigned by Ani which will be emailed to you in advance. Analyze the characters and their relationships, and be prepared to perform in class.


☆ Audition technique, cold reading & scene analysis

☆ Creating a backstory and raising the stakes

☆ Character choices and physicality


★ WEEK 4: AUDITION TECHNIQUE & SCENE PREPARATION ★

Choose your comedic scene, dramatic scene, or monologue and prepare one for a final round of coaching. Scene will also be presented on the final class for Ani & a special industry guest.


☆ Prepare scene or monologue for final class industry presentation

☆ What to expect in the room, adjusting for different framing

☆ Auditioning for specific genres & styles


★ WEEK 5: PERFORMANCE & THE NEXT STEPS ★

Perform your chosen and coached scene for Ani and a special industry guest. Receive final feedback and critique.


☆ Final preparation, dealing with nerves and maintaining confidence

☆ Feedback and critique from Ani & a special industry guest

☆ Next steps in the audition process & goal setting Get prepared and discover how to get seen as a SERIES REGULAR during the busiest time of year for castings!
